OPTIMAL ARM PROJECT

Long Island's Ultimate Velocity and Arm Care Program designed by the Performance and Recovery Experts at Athletic Movement Protocol.

The Optimal Arm Project is heading into its 3rd year.  We’ve had amazing results and are proud of the notable athletes that have been through our program. We have had the last 3 out of 4 Diamond Award Winners (awarded to Nassau County’s best highs school pitcher) as well as many NCAA Baseball Standouts.

What is the Optimal Arm Project?

As sports performance and recovery specialists, we are seeing more and more shoulder and elbow injuries in rotational sports such as baseball, softball and football.  The Optimal Arm Project is AMP's answer to this problem, and is an all-access pass to our systematic and science backed approach of building powerful, injury resilient throwing athletes. The OAP encourages proper mechanics, improved posture, balance and endurance that will lead to improved arm strength and consistency, helping you reach your maximum potential on the field.

Who is the Optimal Arm Project for?

The Optimal Arm Project is great for throwing athletes of a variety of ages and skill levels.  First, you will undergo a thorough evaluation to determine if you qualify for the rigorous training program that comprises the OAP.  Then, we tailor the throwing aspect of the program to fit your needs, whether that be rehabilitating an old injury, improving mechanics, increasing arm strength and speed, AMP performance coaches will guide you down a path appropriate for you.

Coming in to last season, I had 1 goal...To be the best pitcher on Long Island and help my team win a County Championship. I knew reaching this goal would not be easy, and would take as much effort as I could manage in the off-season. I had started training with AMP in the fall, and put on 20lbs of muscle. Towards the end of the winter, I added the Optimal Arm Project to my training, which allowed me to get my arm going before the season started. After 3 weeks, I knew I made the right choice, consistently seeing my velocity jump, but also having my arm feel the best it ever has going into the season. We fell just short of the County Championship, but winning the Diamond Award for Best Pitcher was an awesome honor, and was worth all the hard work. I will be back to do this program every winter.
