Begin with the End in Mind.
Get evaluated by the AMP team of athletic development and sports medicine professionals. This multidimensional approach will test everything from athleticism and injury predisposition to nutrition and mindset. All evaluations include, but are not limited to:
Injury and Health History Questionnaire (IHHQ) - The IHHQ will take subjective information from the athlete regarding their previous and current injuries or conditions, past fitness experiences, nutrition analysis, stress level and lifestyle.
Goal Setting Analysis (GSA) - The GSA will give the athlete a chance to tell us about their present state of mind as well as their short and long term fitness, health and performance goals.
Body Composition - The Omron Full Body Composition Scale measures weight, body fat percentage and Body Mass Index (BMI) on the initial testing day and monitored throughout their training cycle. This test will determine whether the athletes fall into a high risk category in regards to cardiovascular health and general fitness standards.
Postural Analysis - Static standing pictures of each athlete will be taken to determine deviations of posture in all anatomical planes. This head to toe evaluation will show evidence of physical limitations, asymmetries and predisposition to injury or pain.
Movement Efficiency - These tests will determine joint health, functional movement and injury predisposition. The tests include:
Functional Movement Screen (FMS) - The FMS is an innovative system used to evaluate movement pattern quality for our athletes. The screen is comprised of seven fundamental movement patterns that require a balance of mobility and stability and place the individual in extreme positions where weaknesses and imbalances become noticeable. The FMS provides the AMP staff an enhanced foundation for exercise and performance programming and prescription.
Table Assessments - Determines flexibility and range of motion in the upper & lower extremities as well as the torso.
